My Journey To Singapore (26 Jul-3 August)

Hi, everybody.. Are you waiting for my stories? Haha.. am I over-confidence? ^_^
On this trip I go to Singapore via Batam and go back Jakarta via Batam again.

Before I write, I want to share 3 verses for all of you.

Matthew 6:10

When I am with my bro & sis, I feel like in heaven.. It is true. There are so much love in us.

On the morning.. too early.. at 4am I wake up. This trip purpose is to bring my little brother (his name is Tomi) to Singapore, he want to continue his study in secondary. And my siblings are already at Singapore before, my dad want his children get better future in there.

At 06.00 My dad with my mom pick I and Tomi at Soekarno-Hatta.When I in queue, I meet Rebby & Chintya, they want to go to Surabaya for preaching. They are awesome. Rebby is my teacher in leadership class in church.

At 06.40 The plane is taking off.. and I always excited of that. I feel like play parasailing (last time I hv did it in Bali).. Wow.. it is like you run and then the air pull you up.. up .. up.. then it become stabil. I won't take my time to sleep, I will see the window.. enjoy the sightseeing. Let think about God so much.. in that time I can feel that God love me very much. You can imagine the song: You raise me up, by Josh Groban.

Then we arrive at Hang-Nadim.

Luckyly, I have brothers and sisters in Kingdom who always give me support and help. The one is sister in Batam, name Elsye (Elisabeth). She make sure of me.. of my bag, my ticket, etc. We just have little time.. at that time is her birthday. I just can give my ear to listen her wishes, and my body to give her hug.

At 09.40 We are in the boat.

We arrive at Harbour Front, we are in a long long queue. We spend 2 hour. We bring so many things. At my left Korean, at my right India man. One time I was afraid, then I pray to God, then I feel that God really protect me. Thanks God.

My siblings, Kent & Erin were waiting in front of the exit door. So happy can see them and separate with the crowded India & Korea men.

First day in Spore I enjoy time with my family.

Faq: Singapore time is more fast one hour than Jakarta & Batam.

Sunday, 27th July 2008
Go to church, I met Annie, Malaysia girl but work in Spore, but can't speak melayu. I learn speak English with her. Then we sit together, with Anita Trivina..

Then Teck Ming preaching. We watch the movie about father who very love his son, I watch the film before in Jakarta (forgot who give preaching before). Then we heard announcement that our church will arrange event to collect money for Hope, to make the deficit become zero. The event name is Flag Day, at 9th August 2008, 1 day before is Singapore 's independence day (8th August). It s our honour to get permit from the government so we can ask people to put money in the can. John Louis give us encourage to do it and to let everyone in church sign up for this event.

I met a lot brosis Indonesia who stayed in Spore. Poernomo, Henky Prihatna, Stefanie. Then I get lunch with Susani (from Jakarta also), Jazz, Henky. Jazz drive her car bring us to Raffless city. We eat western food. Jazz is a director of art gallery, name Ode to Art, the paintings are in our gallery too.. at FX name Passion of Art.

I heard good news that Jacky was steady.. I forgot her boyfriend name. I congrats her. Jacky is Philipinos girl. I know her because she is in Anita's group, I have hang out with Anita's group at last Christmas day when I come to Spore.

Then I see Singapore Garden Festival at Suntec, the convention hall.. with Stefanie, and the first couple in campus ministry in Spore: Marylin & Anthony.

Then I go with Stefanie, go to Sengkang by MRT, sit in her study.. with Naomi & Madu… Naomi is India, Madu: her dad is Srilanka, her mom is India. They were cook for us.. noodle. And bread. They were so serving. We study about seeking God. I learn from Stefanie, from her spirit, her heart. She always give her time to ministry. When I ask her, who sit in your study, she said, noone.. but she still want to go for it. Wow..!!

And about Madu, although she just lose her money (about US $1500) but she still have joyful and get study bible too.

Faq: Singapore transportation is good. You can take bus or MRT, but the cheaper way is you use the Ez-ling card. You only need to tap the card and top up if the value is less. The new one is SIN $ 15 with value $7, and minimum top up is SIN $ 10. There is machines to top up your card. Very easy.

Monday, 28th July 2008
I with my sibling, Kathe.. go to IKEA, first to Bedok, then we take the free bus to IKEA. This purpose to take the magazine. We enjoy see the furniture. Nice & comfort. We don't buy anything. Just take the magazine, although I just get one.

Then we go to Far East Mall. Kathe looked for shoes, because its her first week get study in NAFA University, she need shoes, then we go to Korea's shop to buy earrings.

Faq: Singapore have a very clean water. We can drink from the kran. Don't afraid you won't get stomachache.

Tuesday, 29th July 2008
I go to place near Kathe's campus, at Bugis. Then we go to Bras basah. She take her discount card, then I buy sister's order to buy bible and book, use the card. Then my sister looking for book she need.. English book. She buy the second one because its cheaper. Then Fanie called me to join dinner with the other.

I go to city hall, to Lawrence 's car. He pick us up at there, in front of Capitol building. In the car I saw: Sylvi Suherlan, Stefanie, Angelina, then I join them, then Henky come and join too. Then Lawrence bring us to China Town. We drink…eat… talk… celebrate first year spiritual birthday of Lawrence.. then Daniel join too.. Lawrence pay all the drinks foods for us and also bring us to home by car. Angelina (called Nana) is Sylvie's friend who studied with Ria, Mida at Jakarta before. But Nana get work in Spore at 7 August later, and I pray for her can join in our church in Punggol.

Faq: there is no begger in Singapore. You can see the old men sell tissue, that is an another form of begger.

Lawrence was bought tissue twice, because the old man begging him.

Wednesday, 30th July 2008
Everybody is go out. At this time I feel lazy and shy to talk with people, although just for buy food. My little brother buy himself, Chicken Rice. He told that the seller will ask you: the white one or the roasted one for the chicken, and we only answer: Roasted or White. So easy to buy food, he explained to me.

I hang out with Nana… We find free food.. bcoz I heard that there is Singapore food festival at Suntec City.. we go and go.. seek and seek.. but can't find that.. then we know that the period is already finished. It finish at 27 july.. it make us disappointed. Then we go to shop and shop, just looking around. We got tired and sit. I write card for Lawrence and Jazz.

There is midweek in Clark Quay, but Nana won't join, because she is too tired. I go to MRT meet Daniel, because I don't know where is the place, he wait for me at the Clark Quay MRT.

Then we arrive at the place we use to midweek (usually use for social event), I meet many brosis. The midweek is playing games. I am in F group. First game to balloon, keep the balloon, don't make it fall, but we must jungle it, the enemy outside tried to make it fall.

Then I was hungry, I ask Anita to accompany me to find food to eat. Then I eat and spend time with Anita.. talk talk.. Then we back to the game.

After midweek I sit with Wandy lean (Indonesian) and her husband, Mey (Gustina's friend), and Daniel. We talk talk again.

Faq: Singapore's buses & MRT are closed at 00.00. So we must take taxi if the time is over.

Thursday, 31th July 2008
I lunch with Sylvie, and Nana. The last day Sylvie at Spore. Then we talk talk again.. Sylvie must prepare her things to home. Then I spend time again with Nana. We go to Parkway Parade, my favourite place. Because it's small mall, price not very expensive. We can buy bubble drink, only 1 dollar. And its near to my home (Tanjong Katong).

I met Erin & Tomi.. Tomi hv his hair cut off. He hv bad mood, don't want to walking around, he want go home. Then they go home. I and Nana go to Giant. Nana buy rice cooker. She ask to the shop keeper is it made in China? Coz she look the one made in Korea .. she think it s better buy the Korea's then he reply.. every is same.. made in China.. (wah.. I think it is his strategy for his product be choose by Nana) He said the it is Singaporean's brand.. then Nana buy it.. We also buy rice and Dragon Fruit.

Then we go home.

Then I met Heidy Yanni ( Indonesia's sister also) and Yanti (her sibling) is become sister too, got baptize last year. I m inspired by her too.. want my sisters got baptize to be disciples too. Then we talk talk.. Yanni want give gift for her sister in Jakarta. I should give it when I am at Jakarta . We ate wanton noodle. Yanni pay all the food and drink for me.. Wow, I feel so special for them. Then we buy things at Bugis street. I buy clothes & things for my friends.

I go to Kathe's campus again, we ll go to Mustafa. Then we go to nancy's house at Ang Mo Kio.. nancy is kathe & erin's friend.. not yet a disciple. We were served well by her mom.. we eat the food was just cooked up.. hot hot.. hmm.. yummy..
Then we played card.. there 1 person again name Yenny, her dad was my dad's friend.

Saturday, 2 August 2008
I plan want go to Lina Rito's house at Bishan. Before that meet fanie first at the MRT, she want to give clothes to her family in Jakarta. I take bus to the MRT Paya Lebar, near my house, but I forgot where to stop, I ws too shy to ask, then I know I must ask, I ask to the bus's captain: I want o go to MRT Paya Lebar, where is it? Then he reply that I missed the road, then he opened the door for me, fortunately it is at the traffic light, so I not too far to walk. Lina was ill.. her heart full of gas because of her Maag, she said she was stress of her job. Because of that, she can't accompany me to walking out, so I sleep too.. beside her bed.
Then I go to Dhoby Ghaut, meet Annie, the Malaysian girl. I wait for her.. When I am waiting, there is 1 girl (fat) crying.. then 1 man (I though he is her dad) shout out loud to her. I just sit don't want to interfere. I was not comfort, because there are boys smoking.

Finally I meet Annie. She was come late, because her wallet was forgotten to bring. Then we spend time at Moss Burger. I hear her story, I was touching. She was very taugh in her hard life.

Then We join Henky & Daniel hang out at City Hall, go to Marina Square. There was jet plane at the air, the army get practice for Singapore's independence day at 8th August.. the jet fly around and made picture. I saw the love picture. Wow..

The we played bilyard, I learn again coz I can't play it good. Daniel teach me how to hold the stick and how to shoot the white ball, keep your arm stable, its so difficult for me. Then we take picture. Daniel bring big camera. Then we take photo at Esplanade. We really have fun.. then we eat at makan sutra.

I like Annie statement like this: We sit sit.. eat eat.. talk talk.. that's disciples.

It is last nite I am in Spore.

Faq: No need to shy to ask people in Singapore, because their English not too good also. We can always learn. But I can practice speaking with bro & sis, because with them it more comfort and the plus value, we can be more closer.

In the early morning I wake up. I plan to get service at Batam. 6.30 I go with Kent by taxi to harbour front, then I arrive at Batam at 8.00. I realize that Kent is so responsible with me. Except him, all my siblings are still sleeping. Kent want to bring me, in the early morning, bring my bag, take care of me until I walk in to the immigration to get chop for my pasport.

Elsye pick me up with motorcycle. We eat breakfast then go to church. Wow.. in Batam no trafic jam. The building is ruko (rumah took). Its a simple building, but the people are awesome. During Charlie's preaching, there was light off, so we were in darkness, but we still fired up to continue the service.

I meet many bro & sis who just get baptize. Then I join the leadersmeeting. I hear many good news. So many people get reach out by leaders at that place. Everyone give good news, me too. I was inspired by them.

Then I go to airport by Afung's car. Afung (brother) is also just get baptize. Then I, Elsye, Wenchy, Iros were spend time. We talk a lot, like have no time again.. haha.. may be yess, coz my plane will take off at 06.15. I just arrive at 05.30.

Finally, I meet wenchy, I see her face, I talk to her and hear her voice. She is talented girl. She is good is music. She is a singer. She singing at the stage. With batik. So beautiful. Her voice is beautiful. Can sing any song, although the seriosa song. Before we go to the airport, we were singing, with Charlie, and Charlie's son play the drum. Very fun.

So.. that was all my story, hope can inspired all of us.

May it is not all the stories, because so many things happen in every second. I am apologize if my English is not good and if I am wrong.
